Corporate Design

Corporate Design – what do we mean? The way you present your business image. It embraces your business name, your type style, your logo, and the look and feel of your stationery – your letters, business cards, client communications and brochures. It feeds into your web design though that’s a whole separate subject. And does it all matter?

Well, we think it does. You may have an exceptional quality of advice and service but your image may not be saying the same thing. Your image and brand is your promise to your clients.

It’s not the most important thing of course that has to be the quality of advice and service you offer your clients. But nor can Corporate Design be relegated to a last minute trip to speedy print – no offence speedy print!

How to go about it?

It’s a matter of thinking through how you want to be seen and thought of by your clients, future clients, and team members and include yourself in that. What kind of image do you want to create? This is a matter of thinking thorough a few key words. Is the main thing to create a professional image? Or a friendly face? Or are we after bespoke discretion? Or you might want to emphasise locality and appeal to a particular community? In other words, it’s a matter of agreeing the right objectives.

And on a personal level here’s a question to ask yourself. When you look at your business card do you do so with:

(a) Pride
(b) Indifference
(c) I try not to look at them

The thing is, it may not cost any more to make sure your answer is a resounding (a) and even more important, the next question is how do you think your clients or prospective clients would answer?

The right process – the right design solution

To make sure the result you get is the right one for your business we believe that you need to spend a little time on the process. The starting point for this is The Brief.

This asks you to think carefully about your business and its direction. We operate with a simple template :

Email Clear a brief

Cost

With your complete Brief and a definition of your Project Scope we can then let you have a cost for the work required. This will vary of course depending on exact scope. However to give you an indication, to provide:

Logo, name style, colour scheme – concepts, one set of amends following client input, stationery design including letter head, business cards and complementary slips would be £850.00 plus VAT

Working style

To make sure we offer good value we try and deal by telephone or email – that way we cut out travel time and focus instead on doing the work! Of course, if your requirements are complex for example we are delighted to meet face to face.
