Political upheaval and economic headwinds - but what does it mean for investing client funds?
Tuesday 13 September, 3:30pm - 5pm
Uncertainty and turmoil have been at the very top of UK politics for some time. One thing we know for sure is we will have a new Prime Minister on 5 September. Regardless of who is appointed, the outlook for the UK economy remains in the balance - inflation, the cost-of-living crisis, rising interest rates and slowing growth - and more uncertainty has the potential to disrupt the economy further.
On this virtual seminar a panel of experts from across the business will discuss the political and economic situation, where we could be going and crucially what this means for client investment. You'll also have the opportunity to ask those all important questions.
By the end of the session, you'll be able to
-
Articulate what policy changes the new Prime Minister might introduce and the impact these could have on the outlook for the economy in the UK.
-
Explain the outlook for capital markets and investments given the current geo-politcal and macro situation globally.
-
Provide guidance on the interest rate and inflation outlook with current thinking about opportunities within Fixed Income.
