Communication Reviews

If you are established in your business then the chances are you will be promoting yourself in a variety of ways – from your company name and logo, your letters and business cards, a web site, maybe a newsletter or some advertising.

You may be very satisfied with what you do but as with all plans it makes sense to review them from time to time. Since you established the way you market your business several things may have changed. With marketing, as with everything else, it’s just a case of making sure your plans and activities are in line with your goals and objectives.

Perhaps your business emphasis or the type of service you offer your clients has developed over time. Or the challenges of regulatory change may cause you to review the way you do things. Or it may just be that what seemed right and effective at the time now requires a bit of a refresh. It also might be that your priorities and commitments don’t allow much focus on these areas.

We may be able to help - at Adviser Home we have put together a Communications Review service with our selected partners, Clear. You get an independent professional view of your business communications. The Review is designed to be quick, painless and without any obligation on you to take our recommendations.

An Independent Communications Review

Let’s start by saying what this service is, and what it isn’t. Firstly, it’s a review, an assessment to help you decide what to do across the breadth of your business communications. Secondly, it’s not about your business strategy or your client proposition – these issues are covered in our Strategy Workshops.

As always the starting point is to gain some understanding of your business and its objectives.

Communications Review

Step one is to complete a Company Briefing document – and let us see how you are presenting yourself today. This will give is a sound basis to think about your objectives and start to assess your communications against these objectives. In the course of our review we will:

  • Look at the core company imagery, logo etc and assess this against your objectives and intentions
  • Look at the quality of your material – stationary, business cards, newsletter etc
  • Assess the current web site in terms of quality, message and content
  • Look at the copy content wherever it appears and assess for degree of match with communication objectives in terms of message and style

Output

This is purely a fee based review service – we will assess the information you give us and make recommendations as to required action.

The conclusion may be that very little needs to be done – or it may be that a number of changes are required. If there are, in our view, gaps in your communications suite, we will point these out and make suggestions.

Our conclusions and recommendations will of course be independent and founded on wide experience in terms of marketing, design and the financial services market. Most important, our recommendations will be practical and actionable.

Then you have the option of asking us to take on the recommended work or not.

Timescales

Once we have the completed Company Briefing document we will then be able to start work. In the Review Team we have experts in branding, design, web based communication, copywriting. This team will assess each element individually and then agree the content of the Review. This process will take 5 to 6 working days.

Then we will email you a detailed report listing our findings and suggestions.

Working style

To make sure we offer good value we try and deal by telephone or email – that way we cut out travel time and focus instead on doing the work!

Costs

This service is available for a simple, one off fee of £750 plus VAT
